Understanding words is the hardest challenge I’ve met. Have you ever wondered what words accurately mean. Growing up we start to understand words almost unconsciously. I probably use every word from my vocabulary correctly without giving it a second thought. But when I try to understand and reflect upon a word deeply. I end up getting an unsolvable puzzle. Why? Because the only way you can define words is through other words. So when it comes to words that represent abstract things it becomes a cycle from which there is no way getting out. You can picture images, actions and so on but you can not visualize abstract thoughts. One of the most common words that I met in definitions is “state”. Alright so you open your dictionary and you want to see what “state” means. Well my dictionary says that “state” in a way means “condition”. And I don’t know what condition is then I type in “condition” and guess what the definition of condition is “state”. When I reflect upon why I can’t understand something whether it’s something related to science or etc. I end up figuring out that I don’t actually truly understand the words used. I think that if you want to develop intellectually this is fundamental and you have to figure it out. I wonder if there are others that share this problem with me.
